We have been closely tracking the days of our chick's development. Today marks day 14! We're getting more and more excited each day we get closer to day 21! Check out this video we watched together that shows how a chick grows and develops while in it's egg.
You may have heard already but we have 2 ladybugs that have emerged from their pupa! It's been exciting to be able to experience and watch most of the life cycle of a ladybug. Today we learned about the different parts of an adult ladybug. Ask your kindergarten to share with you what they learned. You could ask:
-How many legs does a lady bug have? Are they straight like sticks?
-How many sets of wings does a ladybug have?
-What is the job of the outer wings?
-What are the outer wings called (This might be tricky to remember. They are called the ELYTRA)
-What is the job of their antenna?
